PVC pipe for the stand-off on which to mount the Scorpion SII-3026 motor. No need to glue the stand-off in place. The 1/12 in       6-32 bolts hold everything firmly in place.
Power for the LT-25
The three-way plug  from  Atlanta Hobbies comes pre-soldered and saves a lot of work. It is available  with two males and one female as above or two females and one male. The switch harness is also from Atlanta Hobbies.
When it came time to select batteries, two things became immediately apparent:  First, there is not as much  room in the LT-25 as a cursory look might lead you to believe; and second, without that chunk of iron out there on the nose, it gets tail heavy in a hurry.  I first attempted to use the standard 4-cell battery configurations where the cells are in sets of two, end to end. But it was a chore getting them to pass through former “A” (See photo at right.),  plus the fact that half the weight of the batteries would be aft of former “A”. Not good for weight distribution.  What to do?
Below you see the Scorpion SII-3026 installed using PVC pipe as standoff. More information on the Scorpion motor is included on the following pages.
