Designed by Brad Calcagno, the Yedge 550 from Twisted Hobbys made our list of the Six Best 3D Trainers because of its special suitability for the back-yard flyer. The wing span is only 31 inches and it weighs in at a mere  6.7 oz, perfect for the back yard or drive-way  flyer.  It can be flown very slowly which makes it a great beginner’s airplane. Its bright yellow finish makes it easy to see. And it is easily repairable EPP foam.
